Hi there! My name is Elsa. I´m a mexican entrepreneur & coffee lover with crafting skills. I was born in Mexico city 40 years ago. At the age of 16, I felt deeply in love with a very handsome :) and lovely mexican guy  who completley stole my      After 7 years of relationship, we married and raised our son in México.

One of my biggest dreams since I was a child, was to become a TV presenter.                   I have a bachelor degree in Mass Media and Communications and I got the opportunity to work for one of the  most  popular  mexican  broadcast television companies once I finished college. I realized that working for TV was huge time absorbing. It was quite impossible for me to find balance between work and family. Since I became a mother, the priorities in my life completely changed. I decided to began a career as marketing and graphic designer and worked for a couple of companies developing branding marketing jobs. By the time my son got into elementary school, I became full time mom. My son was grewing up so fast that I deeply wanted to enjoy my motherhood.

My husband´s proffessional journey, took us to Bogotá, Colombia for almost three years. Most of this time locked out by the pandemic and as most of many people did, I started a new hobbie and found out I had awesome crafting skills! Also this is where my love for coffee began!

Being far from home, made me appreciate my mexican culture and traditions as I never did before. This is how I began crafting paper mache Catrinas. People around encouraged me to start a business. By the time I began to produce some pieces, the Mexican Embassy in Colombia reached out to me and asked if I was able to present an exhibition of my art at the Museo Nacional de Colombia and Centro Cultural Gabriel García Márquez back in Nov. 2021.

By January 22, we moved to the US based on my husband´s work. We started a new life now in Georgia. Once established, I began looking for entrepreneur programs with the intention to boost my future business.

The Mexican Consulate in Atlanta, gave me the opportunity to join The Dream Builder Program and this is how my love to create was transformed into a business plan. I was proudly awarded the 1st place for the best Business Plan contest in 2023.

One of my primarily goals with Casa Frida, is to share with the world the uniques of México, it´s traditions, gastronomy, culture and natural beauty through colors, patterns and forms. As a mexican woman, I would like to inspire and encourage women around the globe to fulfill their passions and dreams. Women supporting women!

Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoy and love my art as much as I do everyday.

Yours,
